MSD Philanthropy Committee Visits Hudson Guild

On November 23, 2021, the MSD Philanthropy Committee organized a group of employees to visit the Hudson Guild in Chelsea, NYC to distribute Thanksgiving meal bags, pies, and hot beverages for local community members. The Hudson Guild is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 that is located in the heart of Chelsea that serves over 14,000 residents in the community, with a primary focus on low-income families who are residents of three neighborhood public housing projects and nearby middle-income housing. The Hudson Guild works to fight poverty and build community through a broad range of services and activities, including free and low-cost childhood education and after school programming, free summer camp for 300 children, college and career counseling for teens and young adults, senior citizen social services support, licensed mental health care providers in their clinic, and performance arts. This is the fifth year that MSD employees have participated in this meaningful event, and the Hudson Guild has shared that our participation is essential to their ability to provide a festive celebration for families and individuals in the community.
